About Me

My name is Angelica and I’m an aspiring writer. My favorite genres are fiction, fantasy, and mystery. In 2014 I participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and “won” by writing more than 50,000 words in one month. I finished my novel in 2019 and finished editing the first draft last year! I’ve also participated in Camp NaNoWriMo a few times and those pieces are on the back burner. There are just too many ideas floating around my head!

I’m also passionate about video/television production and used to work as a production assistant at a PBS affiliate in Western New York. I moved to New York City the summer of 2016 to find a production job in a bigger market, but life works in mysterious ways and I’m currently a business process analyst in legal staffing in Koreatown and I love it!

Steering away from work I enjoy reading, eating, cooking, taking pictures, biking, exploring, etc. I love my family and love being the oldest child. I spoil my three younger siblings rotten. I’m a big fantasy/sci-fi nerd and love things like Lord of the Rings (hence my tattoo and choosing to study abroad in New Zealand), Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Marvel… The list goes on.
